Hand-drawn sketches of mobile app screens in a notebook, with a phone next to it

If you’re thinking about building an app, the most important thing – as everywhere – is that your developer understands what you want. If you’ve ever had an IT project, I think you know what I mean. That won’t be a problem here. We don’t disappear for months only to come back with a disappointing result. You’re involved in every step of the development, so we can catch misunderstandings in time (because there always are some, everywhere!).

When I dived into the world of native Java-based apps, my clear experience was that the most painful part of learning and developing is building the UI. A custom, up-to-date solution takes a huge amount of resources.
This is where Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) come in. They’re built on web technologies, so a single codebase covers both the Android and the iOS app. You can read about our latest project here.
This means you can get away with a fraction (as little as 1/6) of the cost of a natively developed app.

We’re happy to use cloud solutions, sparing the client the most painful parts of running servers.

The next question is whether your developer can actually build what you came up with, and whether their solution is ready for further development and maintainable – in other words, will it still work a year from now?
If you’re thinking about your own app, you’ll need a team that knows what it’s doing and uses the latest technologies. Be sure to get in touch before you hire anyone!
